This weekend, celebrate cultural diversity and the history of the west coast fishing industry at the second annual The Pull of the Net Multicultural Festival.

On Saturday, the Gulf of Georgia Cannery’s Pull of the Net will offer visitors cultural displays and performances from multicultural community groups who have been involved in the fishing industry on the West Coast.

The Earthland Gleaners Society will have demonstrations all day on net making, macramé tying and more, while the Stream of Dreams Mural Society will invite visitors to paint a fish to be displayed on the south fence of the cannery. Listen to storytelling, sample foods from vendors and take part in other activities.
