Sal Bhullar has lived in Richmond for the past 32 years, having raised three children in the east of the city, on the family’s berry farm. With her children now adults, Bhullar took centre stage to run for a seat at Richmond city council in 2014. Bhullar, educated in hospitality management, has carved out a near 30-year career in customer service at Vancouver International Airport. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga and advocating for the protection of the Agricultural Land Reserve.

This one is a difficult to answer because I like many neighbourhoods, each one offers something unique.

Grab a coffee with friends or go for a jog or walk and enjoy the water; we are surrounded by it.

Summer Night Market to people watch, enjoy food and buy “stuff” that you don’t really need.

Best place to have a picnic:
King George Park
Best walking/running/biking route:
Anywhere on the dyke.
Best restaurant:
Blue Canoe; but I was fond of Paesano’s, which is closing (hopefully not forever).
