Known to many in the online Richmond community as “Alex DC” for his wildly popular (and often raucous) Facebook chat forum Richmond Rants, Raves and Rapport, Alex delaCuesta is a raised-in-Richmond 48-year-old father-of-two living in West Cambie. After his parents emigrated from the Philippines, delaCuesta was born in Manitoba, but grew up in Shellmont, where he recalls weekends when he and his three brothers and friends would “wake up, eat cereal, maybe watch some TV, play some video games and then off on our bikes for hours to who knows where.”
