Virtual Canada Day fireworks will be on display for Richmondites – and everyone across the country – to top off Richmond’s Canada Day at Home celebrations. The augmented reality fireworks can be watched on a mobile device or computer at 10 p.m.

Virtual Canada Day fireworks will be on display for Richmondites – and everyone across the country – to top off Richmond’s Canada Day at Home celebrations.

The augmented reality fireworks can be watched on a mobile device or computer at 10 p.m.

To watch, people have to point their smart phone or tablet to the night sky and then they will see the three-minute 3-D fireworks show with visual and sound effects.

Users will be asked to allow access to their camera and other features in order to use the augmented reality app.
