Any format of poem will be accepted, as long as it’s no longer than one, single-spaced type page. There will be two age categories, one for ages 12 to 15 and a second for ages 16 to 18.

Poems will be judged for their creativity, clarity, originality and the literary merit of their message.

Two prizes are up for grabs in each age category, including a first place prize of $25 and a second place prize of $10.

To enter, interested teens should submit their entries to any Richmond Public Library branch by closing on April 30 or by email to teenblog@yourlibrary.ca.
