Richmond-Queensborough MLA Jas Johal is taking social distancing seriously even while taking a selfie on Friday morning.
On Twitter, Johal posted a photo of himself and BC Health Minister Adrian Dix showing an example of how they are practicing social distancing.
“Social distancing is about ‘flattening the curve,’ which slows the number of new infections and the spread of a virus,” said Johal in the post.
He added that he was “sure BC Health minister Adrian Dix would agree that (it was) a safe selfie distance.”
This week, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry has repeated the need for community members to stay vigilant around social distancing, hand washing and self-isolation to help prevent the transmission of respiratory infections such as COVID-19.
