Richmondites are encouraged to nominate a person or organization for the 2020 Richmond Heritage Awards.

Each year, awards are given to individuals or organizations for conserving historical places or raising awareness of Richmond’s heritage.

Anyone can submit a nomination by completing a one-page form describing the nominee’s contribution. Recognition could be from preservation, promotion, outreach or advocacy to local knowledge.

“Historic buildings, cultural and natural heritage landscapes, artifacts, and oral and written histories are all rich resources that contribute to Richmond’s shared community identity today,” said the city in a media release.

Award recipients will be contacted by email with arrangements made for contactless delivery of the awards.

For nomination forms, email Cynthia Lussier at Cynthia.Lussier@richmond.ca.

Deadline for submissions is Sunday, Oct. 18.
