Richmond city council approved almost $10 million for the city's public library as part of the 2020 budget process, which will go towards new hires and technology.

The computer lab at the Brighouse branch of the Richmond Public Library is open for those needing to use a computer, access the Internet or do some printing.

Up to 24 people can access the computer lab – eight at time for three 45-minute sessions – per day.

Advanced registration is not necessary – those needing to use the services at the computer lab can register in person at the Brighouse branch.

The sessions run from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m., 12-12:45 p.m. and 3-3:45 p.m.

Brighouse, Cambie, Ironwood and Steveston branches are all doing curbside hold pickups.
