1. CF Richmond Centre Lantern Pavilion

September 2 to 15 – Mall hours at Richmond Centre

To mark the Mid-Autumn Festival occasion, also known as the Harvest Moon Festival, special Lantern Pavilions will be installed at CF Richmond Centre where there will be a stunning backdrop of vibrant lanterns.

As part of an exclusive Cadillac Fairview and Alipay offer, Alipay users can receive a free mooncake, courtesy of Saint Germain Bakery, and a 50RMB discount when they spend 1200RMB for any purchase of a CF SHOP! card at stores that accept Alipay.

 

2. RCCS TD Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration

September 14 – 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Lansdowne Centre, Food Court

Richmond Chinese Community Society will be hosting their annual all-ages Mid-Autumn Festival celebration which invites different cultures that celebrate their form of Thanksgiving.

This year's celebration will include multicultural performances, dances, Chinese calligraphy, a ceramist display and game booths.

Visitors are recommended to come early as there will be 600 free mooncakes at this event.

3. Harvest Full Moon Celebration

September 14 – 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Minoru Park

City Centre Community Association is holding their fifth annual Harvest Full Moon Project for the community to gather together in celebration of Thanksgiving through art, music, mooncakes, tea and lanterns.

Visitors can expect live music, performances, art activities, mooncakes and tea in the green space by the Bowling Green entrance followed by a lantern procession at 7:45p.m.

The celebration is led by local community artist Marina Szijarto who believes that public participation in art work such as the Harvest Full Moon Project not only brings crafts and skills together, it encourages conversation and a sense of community.

4. Light of the World Festival

September 14 – 6 – 9 p.m. at Richmond Grace Alliance Church

The festival will feature a carnival with exciting and creative games, authentic Asian night market-style food and a stellar talent show.

Light of the World Festival is a unique interpretation of the popular Asian celebration, the Mid-Autumn Festival. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Richmond Food Bank.
