Three Grade 7 Richmond students have published their own book, in aid of the Richmond Food Bank.

The students, Nate Bergeron, Jasmine Allen and Didier Mazerolle, attend École des Navigateurs, a small Francophone school right in the heart of Richmond.

As part of their English studies, they have managed to publish a book on Amazon and all of their class is involved in sales, marketing and promotion.

The project is raising the students’ awareness that people need food banks all year round, and not just at special times of the year.

Their short story, entitled “The Fruit Salad Chronicles” is available on Amazon.ca at a cost of $4.99, with all proceeds going to the food bank.

Printed copies are also available from the authors, as well as Village Books in Steveston.
