The holidays are a time for giving and Canadian Blood Services is asking individuals to consider giving the gift of blood.
While Richmond doesn’t have its own permanent donation centre, multiple blood donor clinics running are running in Richmond throughout December.
Before heading to a clinic, however, it’s important to determine whether or not you’re eligible to give blood. There are a variety of reasons a person may not be able to donate blood including weight, age, medication, illnesses or travel.
Take a quick online quiz from Canadian Blood Services to determine eligibility.
Upcoming Richmond clinics include:
Friday, Dec. 21 – 12 to 6:45 p.m.
Peace Mennonite Church
11571 Daniels Rd.
Saturday, Dec. 22 – 9:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Tomekichi Homma Elementary
5100 Brunswick Dr.
Wednesday, Dec. 26 – 1 to 7:45 p.m.
A.R. McNeill Secondary School
6611 No 4 Rd.
Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are recommended by calling 1-888-236-6283.
