Richmond is hosting FarmFolk CityFolk’s biggest annual local food celebration, Feast of Fields, for their 25th anniversary at the Rabbit River Farm from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sept 8.

The Feast of Fields is an all-age, four-hour wandering gourmet harvest festival that has visitors experiencing local food and beverage.

Attendees can experience and learn about the connections between farmers and chefs, field and table and farm folks and city folks at this gourmet celebration.

Souvenir cedar plates, raffle tickets for vacations, silent auction for prizes and local produce bags from Whole Foods Market are just a sneak peak of what will be on the farm.

Every dollar raised helps FarmFolk CityFolk support sustainable agriculture and celebrate local food within communities across B.C.

Price of the tickets includes all food and beverages at the event.

Free parking will be available across the farm with free bicycle parking on the farm.

For those who prefer the option of transiting, a special “Feast (shuttle) bus” is available between River Rock Casino and the event for $15 round-trip.

The shuttle bus will depart at 12:40 p.m. from the casino to the event and the returning shuttle will leave the farm at 5:15 p.m. back to the casino.

FarmFolk CityFolk organizes this event on a different farm every year in the Okanagan Valley, Southern Vancouver Island and in Metro Vancouver.
