Richmond Kairos is once again hosting the annual Fair Trade Fair at Gilmore Park United Church on Saturday Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Unlike regular fairs, the Kairos Fair Trade Fair displays and sells gift items, arts and crafts and jewellery made by artisan craftspeople from impoverished nations around the world.

One of the well-known vendors at this Saturday’s event will be Ten Thousand Villages, North America’s oldest and largest Fair Trade organization, which will sell its array of Christmas ornaments and nativity scenes.

The Richmond Gogos, The Sharing Farm, Mayan Skills, Marigold Collective, World Vision and Zambala Gifts were some of the other groups selling items during previous years.

There will also be ethic food and music available for attendees to enjoy while shopping.

Kairos is an organization made up of 10 churches and religious organizations who work together for ecological justice and human rights.

Gilmore Park United Church is located at 8060, No. 1 Road. Admission is free, but you can make a donation to help Kairos with its work.
