1. Attend the Philippine Flag Raising Ceremony at City Hall

Where: 6911 No. 3 Rd.
When: Saturday, June 8 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

This community event for all ages celebrates the 121st Philippine Independence Day and June as the Filipino Heritage Month. The celebration starts promptly at 9 a.m. with a parade around the plaza followed by the flag raising ceremony and speeches. There will be interactive presentations, multicultural performances and games for all ages along with a photo booth to capture your smiles. Don't miss the prize draw at noon.

2. Check out the Paulik Pollinator Party

Where: Paulik Gardens Neighbourhood Park (7620 Heather St.)
When: Saturday, June 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Celebrate the most unique park in Richmond and meet your neighbours. Learn about perennial gardening, community gardening, beehives, butterfly habitats and enjoy a tasty treat prepared by Chef Ian Lai, executive director of Richmond Food Security Society.

3. See some classic cars at the at the annual Sockeye Run Car Show 

Where: Steveston Community Park (4323 Moncton St.)
When: Sunday, June 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Richmond Lions Sockeye Run is a premier automobile show'n'shine that takes place in The Steveston community park every June, come join in for their 29th year. Music and entertainment all day with lots of prizes. White Spot food truck, live auction and silent auction. Model car building and kids’ model contest inside the community centre from 12-2p.m. Hot Wheels racing in the park. Great fun for all ages.
