Culinary arts students at Richmond Secondary recently got a visit from rancher Erika Strande to help make a connection to how beef is raised as part of the Behind the Beef seminars.

The seminars, held around the province, are provided by the BC Agriculture in the Classroom Foundation in partnership with Take a Bite of BC program and BC Cattlemen’s Association.

Students get an opportunity to ask questions about what it’s like to work on a ranch, how beef is raised and address any concerns they might have about food safety regulations.
