Richmond Christian Eagles Grade 8 boys volleyball team capped a season to remember by capturing the Vancouver and District Bantam Championship with a 3-1 win over Burnaby North in the final.
The Eagles have showcased their accurate passing and potent attack throughout the season, going undefeated and dropping only one set in the process.
They continued their dominance in the playoffs, winning every set of every match to eventually beat Burnett in the city final.
At the annual McRoberts Volleyball Tournament, RCS boys beat St. Georges 3-0 in the championship match, but not before having to dig deep to battle back from being down 21-9 in one set, and 24-16 in another, entertaining and thrilling the spectators.
Coach Mr. Eric Man, praised the boys for always encouraging each other through any misplays or mistakes, and becoming a tighter unit as the season wore on.
