The seven-day Metro Vancouver weather forecast starting on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, includes a risk of thunderstorms due to unsettled conditions.

Metro Vancouverites may hear some booming in the heavens on Wednesday, Aug. 6 and Thursday.

Environment Canada is calling for the possibility of thunderstorms starting early Wednesday evening with some showers and winds up to 30 km/h persisting throughout the night into Thursday.

Meteorologist Brian Proctor told V.I.A. on Tuesday that the Metro Vancouver weather forecast includes a mix of showery, cooler weather this week, as an unsettled pattern with a broad trough arrived over Vancouver Island and the Central Coast.

Early morning thunderstorms are possible on Thursday along with showers, according to Environment Canada's latest forecast.

Conditions are expected to clear on Thursday around noon, earlier than previously expected, allowing for clear skies and sunny conditions starting Friday and continuing through next week.

A warmer trend is expected to commence Sunday or Monday, with temperatures climbing into the mid-to-late 20s.

Proctor said the ridge of high pressure will remain in place through mid-August, meaning locals have at least one more sun-kissed stretch of above-average temperatures to enjoy before September.
