Sport Central offers free intro session for Women's Squash Week

Saturday's drop-in a great opportunity to learn more about the game

Squash is a terrific physical activity that can be played in all seasons.

Sport Central Richmond is offering a free introduction to the game as part of Women’s Squash Week in B.C.

The back to school period in September has long held the distinction of being the most time crunched period of the year even surpassing the holiday season madness according to industry experts.

No one experiences the time crunch more than the female of the household. Women, more than their male counterparts are considered the captains of keeping things in order and the official gatekeeper of the health of the family —  a position that often tends to trump their own fitness routine.

Women's Squash Week promotes social play and inspires women to reconnect on the court and off.

Among the highlights around the province is a open house at Sport Central from 3:15-5:15 p.m. on Saturday (Sept. 15).

The free drop-in is on a first come basis to receive an introduction to the game from squash Pro Marco Toriz of the West Coast High Performance Academy.

It is aimed at those who have never played the sport before and are looking for a new and exciting pastime. A fun social activity will follow off the court.

Sport Central is located on 2611 Viscount Way.
