Open letter to City of Richmond’s mayor and council, Don’t follow the easy route — keep trees in our future. Yes, it is easy for builders’ to clear-cut trees. No pesky branches to work around.

Dear Editor, After going to the school board’s first consultation night, I came away completely frustrated and disillusioned by this process. I am deeply disappointed with every level of government including the school board.

Dear Editor, The Richmond Board of Education and senior staff would like to thank the parents and the staff of our school district community who attended last week’s Long Range Facilities Plan Open Houses.

Dear Editor, I am extremely displeased by the recent decision of the Ministry of Education to withhold funds necessary to seismically upgrade schools in Richmond and Vancouver unless a 95 per cent utilization rate is achieved.

Dear Editor, On two occasions, we have seen a lone coyote roaming the south dyke near Britannia, near the walkway...just spotted him this morning again. Residences with small pets should be informed and aware when walking the dyke into the village.

Dear Editor, Every day I see more houses demolished and more new construction begin. Much of the demolished material ends up in the landfill; most of the lumber for construction comes (I believe) from our forests.
