Dear Editor, Reading about Harold Steves’ comments regarding the kicking incident at the Richmond library and the size of houses being built on the ALR is nothing less than a joke.

Editor, I am writing to offer my thoughts on the widely reported and unfortunate remarks via Twitter from Councillor Harold Steves late last week.

Dear Editor, When I first moved here, I did have a fear of homeless people and I felt insecurity when I came in contact with them. However, as I learn to understand and have been a part of community circles over the years, my guard has come down.

Dear Editor, Re: “We have so much to grow,” Letters, March 22. I wanted to share my concern for the topic expressed by Laura Gillanders, as well as my affliction to a point brought up.

Dear Editor, After reading several articles in our local paper, I felt compelled to participate in the discussions regarding the establishment of a facility for the homeless on Elmbridge Way.

Dear Editor, I say yes to modular housing for homeless citizens going up as soon as possible at 7300 Elmbridge Way in Richmond. The location is not in an exclusively residential area.

It was the early 2000s. I hadn’t lived in Richmond long. In fact, I hadn’t lived in B.C. long, and the time I had been here was consumed with changing diapers and running around playgrounds.

Dear Editor, There has been much discussion recently about unsafe driving and the lack of enforcement in Greater Vancouver.

Dear Editor, Thanks to the community of Richmond and beyond for supporting Black History Month here.
