Dear Editor, So who is going to make up the reduction of monies from the River Rock Casino? The City of Richmond had budgeted $14 million revenue from the casino, and it is now expected to receive only approximately $3 million.

As the American vote count dragged on the other week, I looked forward to a series of relaxing dinners with some affordable and tasty wines. My wife, Leah is a talented cook, especially when she makes salmon cakes.

Dear Editor, As a student in a local school, I actually feel very happy and eager to be back at school because I miss human contact. Even though I have a big family, having them as my only social bubble for months is more than enough family time.

Dear Editor, Maybe now that we are being represented by the governing party we can get some real attention on this tunnel nonsense. I’d just as soon they get on with the already designed bridge, which could be in use in three years.

Remembering George Chow, As many people in British Columbia and elsewhere, I was very saddened to hear about World War II Veteran George Chow’s passing away on November 6, at the age of 99.

Dear Editor, Recently (Oct. 28), my friend George and I enjoyed yet another tasty dinner at the remarkably enduring IHOP on No. 3 Road, opposite Richmond Centre.

Dear Editor, Remembrance Day is an important day. My grandfather served in the trenches of World War 1; my mother recalled the lists of names of boys she knew from school lost in the battles of World War 2.

When we arrived in Richmond, in 1956, the typical detached house on a residential street had a lawn in front and back, flower beds around the perimeter of the house, with a few fruit trees and berry bushes dotting the property.

Dear Editor, Our parents, John and Eileen Perez, have lived in Richmond for more than half a century. Last month, they had planned to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 10.
