Re: "Merchants talk village's shift into Storybrooke," Destination Steveston, Feb. 15.

I have read the article in Feb. 15's paper about the filming of Once Upon a Time.

Why were not all shop owners interviewed where the filming is being done, like Juvelisto and Gunrud, etc.?

I know I have been stopped by film crews when I have had an appointment with Sasha Shkolnik of Juvelisto. The merchants are not being properly compensated in my opinion.

The City of Richmond has a deaf ear. Just because someone's store sign is filmed during the filming is not good advertisement because who knows if that is a real sign or a fake one from the film.

We have had many films done in Steveston that have not caused the financial hardship this director has caused to some merchants.

For instance, the time I went to Juvelisto's and there was a camera in front of her doorway. She had no customers that day and no compensation.

Not all is rosey for some of the merchants during filming times. I just thought I would say my peace of mind.
