Question BC Ferries' role

The Editor,

As the trial of Karl Liggert wraps up, it occurs to me that I have not heard much commentary about the role of BC Ferries in this disaster.

I am alarmed to learn that the captain of a ship or his second in command are not on the bridge at all times.

I am also dismayed at the fact that it seems that workers who start with BC ferries directing the cars on and off the ferry can end up steering the ship.

Once the ship hit the island, the emergency response of the ferry crew then seems to have been less than effective and efficient.

Am I the only person that feels that a complete review of BC Ferries personnel policies and worker training is needed?

No wonder BC Ferries' passenger numbers are dropping.
