Dear Editor,

Re: “Intersections researched,” News, Feb. 24.

I am amazed there needs to be research done to figure out that there are many traffic concerns in Richmond.

For many years, I have asking where is the enforcement along these so-called dangerous routes. I have asked and never received a response from anyone as to the rampant speeding on all Richmond streets.

I walk daily and have come close to being run down in a school zone, marked crosswalks and intersections.

There is no such thing as speed limits, complete stops or any other enforcement being done on a full time basis.

Until the RCMP take this problem seriously and start hitting drivers hard till the message sinks in, we will continue to see pedestrians hit, car crashes at intersections and poor driving habits go unpunished.

We don’t need a study to be done. We need action now or we will end up waiting for things to get done, like building a new tunnel.
