Letters: Richmond Hospital tower is 'crumbling'

A Richmond News reader is concerned about the condition the city's hospital tower is in.

Dear Editor:

My 92-year-old father just got out of Richmond Hospital after 47 days in emergency, remote monitoring and acute care.

I was appalled at the condition of the tower.  It appears to be falling apart from the elevator core outwards.

My question is, how can you justify building an $800 million museum, a vanity tag, over replacing a crumbling hospital tower?

Editor’s note: The health authority has said the tower will be replaced by 2028.
