Letters: Lack of grass cutting in Richmond

A Richmond News reader is questioning the frequency of mowing across the city

Dear Editor,

Today being July 1st, I couldn’t help but notice the lack of grass cutting throughout Richmond.

Grass growing is no surprise event like snowfall, as it happens every spring. What has been cut, is either left for the wind to take care or just left to cause fire hazards.

There seems to be no follow-up of the work as one only needs to look at school grounds, parks or walkways. No or little clean up is done. At best, this is not the city’s finest work.

Maybe shift some of the crews that do such a wonderful job at City Hall or Brighouse Park and put some care into all areas of Richmond.
