Open letter to the Jewish community:

On behalf of India Cultural Centre of Canada Gurdwara Nanak Niwas, we would like to express our deepest sympathy and condolences to the Jewish community. We are shocked to hear of the senseless killing of 11 and the many innocent worshippers who were seriously injured by this heinous crime within the synagogue premises.

Please accept our heartfelt condolences for the victims’ families. We all stand in solidarity with our Jewish brothers and sisters in Pittsburgh. We also commend the bravery and heroism of the Pittsburgh law enforcement officers and the selfless sacrifice of Rabbi Jefrey Myers and the worshippers during this tragic event.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

We pray that the souls of the deceased rest in peace. Also, we pray for an early and full recovery of those injured in this abhorrent crime.

We would like to assure you that we (the Sikh community) hold our hands out to our Jewish brothers and sisters at this time of need and offer our full support for coping with this tragedy.
