Dear Editor,
To the driver who hit our RCMP officer and then drove away. Your family knows what you have done; your friends know what you have done.
The RCMP has the best collision investigators in the world working with the most modern equipment.
Every RCMP officer, every municipal police officer, every CBSA officer, every deputy sheriff, every conservation officer, every bylaw officer is looking for you.
They will find you; they will arrest you and take you before a judge to answer for your actions.
I know you are scared, but right now there is an opportunity for you to show contrition, show that you have some decency.
Go to the nearest police station and act with dignity, turn yourself in.
If you don’t, they will find you — of that you can be certain.
