Letter: Finally some farming after soil war

Dear Editor, I live on a property adjoining a farm on Finn Road that was in the news three years ago for dumping several thousand tons of demolition materials right through the middle of this very productive prime farm land.

Ray Galawan led a convoy of tractors to Premier Christy Clark's office in Point Grey to protest over alleged dumping of construction waste on farmland.

Dear Editor,

I live on a property adjoining a farm on Finn Road that was in the news three years ago for dumping several thousand tons of demolition materials right through the middle of this very productive prime farm land.

It is truly nice to see the return of fields of corn and potatoes by the new owner and lessee. Unfortunately, about three acres, mainly in one long 80-foot wide strip is permanently destroyed with broken concrete and rebar protruding, and can probably never be farmed or utilized due to the damage inflicted by that previous lessee.

I want to thank all those protesters that took part in stopping that idiotic scheme
