Phoenix Art Workshop has hosted successful and well attended Grand Prix of Art competitions in Ladner and Richmond. This year, the Richmond challenge will not be held due to logistical challenges.
That is a pity. Locals and tourists attend the competition to view artists painting in the open air. It demystifies the studio and encourages participation, and brings tourism to town. I hope the City of Richmond will return to help fund this event in any way possible.
