Scheduled power outages in Richmond from Nov. 23 to Dec. 2

Richmond residents in multiple areas will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair and replacement work from Nov. 16 to 20.

BC Hydro plans regular power outages to perform work on equipment or power lines that require them to be de-energized, according to the its website.

“By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future, where a part of the system unexpectedly fails or malfunctions,” said BC Hydro on its site.

Here is the list of power outages scheduled for this week:

Nov. 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

A transformer replacement will affect 16 customers at:

  • 6331 to 6480 Constable Dr.
  • 10940, 10951 and 10960 Constable Gate

Dec. 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 23 customers at:

  • 11751, 11760, 11800, 11811 and 11831 Voyager Way
  • 11660 Bridgeport Rd.

Dec. 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 18 customer at:

  • 9180, 9191, 9211, 9231, 9251, 9271m 9280, 9291, 9300, 9311, 9320 and 9331 Glenbrook Dr.
  • 9011, 9031, 9051, 9091, 9111 amd 9120 Glenbrook Crt.

Dec. 1 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

A transformer replacement will affect 13 customers at:

  • 5551 to 5680 Floyd Ave.

Dec. 1 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 12 customers at:

  • 10199 and 10200 Lawson Dr.
  • 5411, 5431, 5451, 5460, 5471, 5480, 5500, 5520, 5531 and 5540 Floyd Ave.
