The Wilson School of Design at Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s (KPU) Richmond campus has been named the best overall in Canada in an industry report.

KPU topped several categories in the Best Fashion Schools in the World report by Business of Fashion magazine.

The institution was the only Canadian fashion school to receive badges in multiple categories in the fashion design section of the report.

It won Best Overall, Best in Long-term Value and Best in Learning Experience.

“We are proud to have been included on this prestigious, international list. Our close connection to industry and extensive practicum placements, hands-on experiential learning and advanced technology are cornerstones of our programs,” said Andhra Goundrey, interim dean, Wilson School of Design.

“This global recognition is validation for what we take pride in and we are thrilled to be on the map with such good company.”

For this report, Business of Fashion does an annual rigorous assessment of fashion schools with input from leading experts in fashion.

There are 30 different data points collected from 66 institutions and surveys completed by 13,500 students and alumni.
