OTTAWA — Patrick Levels is on the move. The veteran American defensive back agreed to terms with the Ottawa Redblacks on Wednesday.

CALGARY — Cornell Brown is back with the Calgary Stampeders coaching staff. Head coach Dave Dickenson announced Wednesday that Brown will round out his '22 staff as the Stampeders defensive line coach.

AUSTIN, Texas — Jordan Perruzza scored for the third pre-season game in a row as Toronto FC downed Austin FC 2-1 on Wednesday. The game marked the Toronto debut of Spanish forward Jesus Jimenez, signed from Poland's Gornik Zabrze.

HAMILTON — The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed veteran American defensive linemen Micah Johnson and J.R. Tavai on Wednesday.

CALGARY — The Calgary Stampeders signed free-agent Canadian linebacker D.J. Lalama on Wednesday. The six-foot, 222-pound Lalama had 25 tackles, eight special-teams tackles and a sack in 11 regular-season games last year with Montreal.

After turning around Poland's men's basketball team, Mike Taylor is embarking on a new adventure — coaching in the Canadian Elite Basketball League. Taylor was announced Wednesday as the new head coach of the Fraser Valley Bandits.

REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed national receiver Wesley Lewis on Wednesday. The six-foot-five, 218-pound Lewis appeared in 11 games over two seasons with the Ottawa Redblacks, registering three catches for 33 yards.
