Forward Tyler Sandhu and defenceman Shaun Dosanjh are among 68 players from B.C. and Alberta who have been invited to the upcoming U17 Pacific Regional Summer Camp - July 25-29 in Kamloops.

B.C. Hockey and Hockey Alberta each identified 34 U17 male athletes from their respective provincial evaluation camps to participate in the joint regional camp. From the camp, players will be scouted with their club teams until November when the Team Pacific Management Committee announces the 22 player roster for Team Pacific at the 2013 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge starting Dec. 28 in Quebec.

Sandhu and Dosanjh were both standouts growing up in the Seafair Minor Hockey Association. They both played this past season in the B.C. Major Midget Hockey League with the Greater Vancouver Canadians.

Sandhu led the Canadians in scoring with 45 points in 38 games, including 18 goals.

He was selected by the Portland Winterhawks in the 2011 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft and his playing rights were traded to the Everett Silvertips in May. Dosanjh, who managed six points in 40 games, along with 30 penalty minutes, recently signed with the Vancouver Giants after being selected by the club a year earlier in the bantam draft.

The Hockey Challenge brings together top players in the world born in 1996 or later. The tournament is made up of 10 teams.
