Richmond golfer Christine Wong will once again be wearing Canadian colours in 2013 after being named to the national amateur team.
Wong, who is in her senior year at San Diego State University, is one six returning players. The women's team also features Coquitlam's Jisoo Keel, along with three Ontario players - Augusta James, Brittany Marchand and Brooke Henderson.

Canada's Chief Sport Development Officer. "It is our mandate to support these players in helping them achieve their goals for excellence within the sport. Whether competing internationally, nationally, provincially or as members of their respective collegiate teams, each of these athletes has earned the right to represent Canada in 2013."
Wong is coming off an impressive 2012 season that saw her capture her second B.C. Amateur title with a 72-hole scoring record.
She also became the first SDSU player to be named Mountain West Golfer of the Year after leading the Aztecs to their best Conference Championship finish in more than a decade. She lost out on individual honours in a playoff and picked-up her third straight all-conference honours.
Wong had a 73.94 stroke average in 11 tournaments and was named as one of Golf Digest's top 50 players to watch for the 2012-13 season.
Wong capped her fall schedule with a sixth place finish at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown back in October.
