At the University of Washington Senior Tournament, both Ryan Murao (1-2 Deg. Black Belt Div.) and Wendy Robillard (Sr. Ladies Open) gained first place honors. Robillard followed up her performance by also placing third in the 4th Degree Black Belt and over category.

Other award winners were Darren Lin (3rd place - 16-18 Yrs Div) and Steveston's Senior Team (David Yao, Sean O'Sullivan, Ryan Murao, Philip Nishikihama and Ray Murao) which placed second.

Two weeks later, at the Vancouver Open Tournament, Ryan Murao dominated his 16-to-20-year-old Division to claim first place. Other winners were Roger Knecht (3rd place - 41 yrs and Over Div.) and the Junior Team (Jennifer Matsushita, Kenta Muramatsu, Jasmine Chao and Brandon Kato) which placed third.

The club's successes continued on at the BCKF Junior Tournament.

Steveston's junior beginners swept the Beginners' Division with Gene Tze (1st Place), Kaito Cheung (2nd Place), and Nathaniel Estrada and Sarah Rotenberg finishing in third place.

The Junior Team claimed second place after narrowly losing a hard fought match to the kids from Victoria. Team members were Jennifer Matsushita, Kenta Muramatsu, Jasmine Chao, Chris Lam and Jacob Tubajon.

Kenta Muramatsu completed the honour roll by receiving the "Fighting Spirit" of the tournament award.
