A pair of Richmond rugby players are suiting up for the U17 provincial team this week in a pair of matches against a touring side from the Northern California Youth Rugby Association.
Tomasi Vataiki attends McRoberts secondary and plays at the club level for Bayside, while Harjun Gill plays for the Richmond Rugby Club and attends St. Georges.
The BC U17s will contest for the TrueBlue BC NorCal Cup in a three game series against the NCYRA. The third and final leg will be played in San Francisco on July 27. While on tour in California, The B.C. squad will also be divided into two teams where they will compete in the NCYRA Sevens Championship Tournament.
