After a successful run a year ago, B.C. Hockey has turned to a couple of Richmond coaches to be part of the Team B.C. U16 staff for the 2015 Canada Winter Games in Prince George.

Ryan Weber will serve as an assistant to head coach Jim Dinwoodie while Mitch Pinsky has been named director of hockey operations.

Weber has been involved with Richmond, South Delta and Seafair Minor Hockey Associations over the past 10 years as coach, assistant coach and trainer. He has also been part of the coaching staff for various B.C. Male High Performance events and he led Team BC to a gold medal at the 2012 Western Branch Challenge.

Weber spent a couple seasons coaching in the B.C. Major Midget League (MML) with the Valley West Hawks and Greater Vancouver Canadians.

Pinsky has served as a District Evaluator for the B.C. Hockey Male High Performance program since 2010 and has attended numerous High Performance Events ranging from the Male U17 Provincial Camp to the Lower Mainland U16 District Camp.

As Director of Operations, he helped Team B.C. win the gold medal at the 2012 Western Branch Challenge. In June, Pinsky was recognized for his work with the B.C. Hockey High Performance Development Award.

The U16 program plays an integral role in the development of B.C. Hockey's elite level players.
