Richmond talent playing for Lower Mainland All-Stars

McMath's Jayna Wilson will be joined by Hugh Boyd's Kara Moscovitz as members of the Lower Mainland All-Stars in tonight's Grade 12 showcase game in Port Coquitlam. Three more city players will be suiting up in the Futures Game.

It’s going to be a busy conclusion to the high school basketball season for some of the city’s top senior girls’ talent.

Five Richmond players will be in action at a pair of games tonight, hosted by Riverside Secondary in Port Coquitlam.

McMath’s Jayna Wilson and Hugh Boyd’s Kara Moscovitz will be suiting up for the Lower Mainland All-Stars in their annual battle with the Fraser Valley All-Stars in the Grade 12 showcase game. Tip-off is slated for 8 p.m.

The doubleheader will be begin at 6 p.m. with the Futures Game. The Lower Mainland line-up will feature McMath’s Liz Kennedy (Grade 11) and Marina Radocaj (Grade 8), along with Steveston-London’s Sharlene Siy (Grade 10).

All five players will be back in action on Saturday for the inaugural Richmond All-Star Game at MacNeill Secondary. That game gets underway at 1 p.m., followed by the boys tilt at 2:45 p.m.
