Kids thinking about learning how to golf are invited to join a free golf clinic in Richmond next week.

The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour is offering a free introduction to workshop for kids at Mayfair Lakes Golf Club.

Kids age six to 12 can sign up for the event where they will receive instruction from The Professional Golfers’ Association of BC Professionals and a tee gift.

Two sessions, with 24 participants per session, are being offered on Oct. 1. The first session will take place from 4 to 5 p.m. and the second from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

“The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour, thanks to sponsorship by Cam Clark Ford Richmond, offers a free introduction to golf for young kids in the community to expose them to a great game they can play for life and which teaches etiquette, sportsmanship and other great life skills,” said the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour team in an email.

Only 48 spots are available and sign-ups are on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Parents can register for their kids at https://bit.ly/2UVsdPa or by emailing rellingham@camclarkford.com
