A Grade 5 student from Richmond bagged a tasty trio of medals on the weekend.
Errington elementary’s Emmett Griffin won the medals at the 2022 BC Elementary Track and Field Championships, hosted at Minoru Track by Richmond’s Kajaks club.
Emmett, competing in his first track and field event, won bronze in the 11 year old boys’ 100-metre race and anchored his Game Ready Elite club’s 11 year old 4x100 relay team to gold.
He also took home a silver medal from the 4x60 shuttle relay, again in the 11 year old boys’ category.
