The McNair secondary student was one of four Richmond players on the Burnaby Mountain team that participated at the recent University of Denver Team Camp. He was joined by Nick Jensen, Mark Sahota and Cooper Yates. The Selects finished the tournament with a 5-2 record, while Miller and Jensen were also selected to play in the U15 all-star game. Miller went on to be named the defensive MVP of the tournament.

Over 30 college coaches attended the event, including coaches from NCAA Division I powerhouses Denver, Hofstra, Towson and UMass. The Burnaby Mountain team also attended a two-hour clinic, put on by the coaches, prior to the tournament.

Richmond is also well-represented on two other Burnaby Mountain teams for summer tours.

The Senior Elite team features Jonathan Bailey, Matt Sahota and Parker Sahota, while the Junior squad's line-up includes Brad Hoffman, Josh Kelly and Jonah Sahota.

The Juniors are currently in New York for the Syracuse University Summer Shootout.

The Selects Senior Elite team will conclude the 2011 summer season with a trip to Baltimore, Maryland, July 19-26 to compete in the nationally renowned Champ Camp. Teams are selected to compete at Champ Camp by invitation only with an emphasis on assembling the top high school aged club teams in North America. Burnaby Mountain is the only program to be selected from Western Canada in the tournament's 22 year history with 2011 being the second straight year that the Selects will be in attendance.

Founded in 2006, the Burnaby Mountain Selects program is designed to follow the same collegiate template as the Simon Fraser University men's lacrosse program, with the objective of best preparing young student-athletes to play at the collegiate level.
