Richmond City Baseball's Bantam A Black Sox completed a very successful season by winning the Interlock playoff championship on June 24 at Brighouse Field.

Richmond City Baseball's Bantam A Black Sox completed a very successful season by winning the Interlock playoff championship on June 24 at Brighouse Field.

After compiling an impressive 142 regular season record, the Black Sox defeated Burnaby South A's and Vancouver Cardinals to reach the championship game against the Richmond City's Downtown Boys.

The Downtown Boys led for much of the game but the Black Sox kept the score close.

Justin Miura made a spectacular catch in left field to end the top of the seventh to keep his team within two runs.

With Brock Glasgow and Justin Miura on base in the bottom of the seventh, Kieran Moon hit a 1-1 offering over the center field fence to secure the victory for the Black Sox.

The team coached by Eric Marriott and Andrew Weston.

The roster also included: Gerrit Trouw, Jordan Balogh-Callow, Sean Rosenhek, Colin Szeplabi, Peter Li, Ryan Brown, Daniel Sekimoto-Hoh, Brock Glasgow, Kieran Moon and Justin Miura.
