The Richmond Chuckers will have home field advantage at this weekend’s B.C. Baseball U15AA provincial championships at Blundell Park.
The 10-team event gets underway Friday morning and concludes on B.C. Day with the semi-final and championship games.
The Chuckers open round-robin play Friday against Rutland at noon, then have a pair of games Saturday — taking on Cloverdale at 9 a.m. and Burnaby at 3 p.m. Richmond will also take on Tri-Cities on Sunday at 11:45 a.m.
The top two teams from each pool advance to Monday’s semi-finals, slated for 10 a.m. The championship game goes at 2 p.m.
Coached by Derek Howells, the hosts have enjoyed a solid campaign to date, capturing a tournament in Cloverdale earlier this month. The Chuckers knocked off previously unbeaten Prince George in the championship game
