Richmond City Baseball hosting U15AA provincials

Ten team championships starts Friday at Blundell Park

The Richmond Chuckers will have home field advantage at this weekend’s B.C. Baseball U15AA provincial championships at Blundell Park.
The 10-team event gets underway Friday morning and concludes on B.C. Day with the semi-final and championship games.
The Chuckers open round-robin play Friday against Rutland at noon, then have a pair of games Saturday — taking on Cloverdale at 9 a.m. and Burnaby at 3 p.m. Richmond will also take on Tri-Cities on Sunday at 11:45 a.m.
The top two teams from each pool advance to Monday’s semi-finals, slated for 10 a.m. The championship game goes at 2 p.m.
Coached by Derek Howells, the  hosts have enjoyed a solid campaign to date, capturing a tournament in Cloverdale earlier this month. The Chuckers knocked off previously unbeaten Prince George in the championship game
