Richmond Chuckers getting set to host provincials

The 10uA provincials will be held at Palmer Baseball Field, while the 15UAAs will be at Blundell

The Richmond City Baseball Association Chuckers are getting set to host the 10uA and 15uAA BC Minor Baseball Provincial Championships later this week.

The 10uA provincials will be held at Palmer Baseball Field at Palmer Secondary from July 28 – 31, with the opening ceremonies taking place at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday.

The Chuckers are coached by Ian Thomas, Braham Teja, Scott Nielsen, Alex Homeniuk and Dave Stoddard.

Team members include Ben Thomas, Callan Ma, Charn Teja, Dylan Bielli, Hayden Stoddard, Hudson Stoddard, Mason Kopp, Myles Homeniuk, Nico Paulino, Noah Ison, Tyler Nielsen, Wade McConnell and Will Klatik.

Their games will be:

Friday 1:30 pm – Palmer Field 1

Friday 6 pm – Palmer Field 1

Saturday 1:30 pm – Palmer Field 1

Saturday 6 pm – Palmer Field 1.

The 15UAA provincials will be held at Blundell Baseball Field at Blundell Elementary, also from July 28 – 31.

The team is coached by Sean O’Neill, Brent Lexier, Ian Thomas and Mark David.

Team members include Ben O’Neill, Ben Lee, Ben Rempel, Bryson Lexier, Cole Yamazaki, Dylan Thomas, Jared Copan, Jayden Lidder, Keenan Thomas, Matai David, Rhys Derosa, Yianni Camara and Ben Thomas (batboy).

Their games will be:

Thursday 9 am vs Surrey Canadians – Blundell South Field

Thursday 6 pm vs Penticton Tigers – Blundell South Field

Friday noon vs Vancouver Community Blue – Blundell North Field

Saturday 3 pm vs Prince George Knights – Blundell North Field.
