The youth national team consists of Imoo, who is the only B.C. athlete, and seven other male and female athletes from Ontario and Quebec.

This is Imoo’s second time competing with the national youth team, the first being in 2022 for the IBF World Youth Championships in Helsingborg, Sweden.

“With a driving motivation to improve my skills combined with my passion for the sport, I have high expectations and hope to medal this year in Peru,” said Imoo.

“Although I’m nervous, I am also confident in my coaches and the rest of my teammates to perform our best, meet new people, and represent our country.”

Imoo began bowling in 2014 and joined a junior league at local Lucky 9 Lanes. Aside from competing as a bowler, he posts bowling ball reviews, tips and tricks videos on YouTube.
