Richmond adult soccer season kicks off with a truck load of goals

The 61st Richmond Adult Soccer Association has kicked off with no shortage of excitement and a series of thrilling match-ups.

In the Masters League, the Richmond Old Blacks, last year’s champions, took on newcomers South Army, resulting in an intense 1-1 draw. Meanwhile, the Athletics dominated with a 10-1 win over BG Rangers, thanks to Mike Reston’s hat trick.

In Division 1 action, Active Releaf Grads, the reigning champions, started strong with a 2-0 victory over Emerald Unicorn, while newcomers RFC Hibs showcased their potential with a 5-2 win against Pacific Dragon.

Lion Rock narrowly defeated Free Bird 2-1, in Division 2, setting the stage for a rematch on November 26. United flexed their muscles, beating Minoru Eagles FC 8-2, with Jude Kim scoring a hat trick.
