Rapids swimmer named to National ID Team

For the second time in her promising career Amanda McCallum is a member of Swim Canada's ID Team.

Amanda McCallum’s performances on the big stage has earned her recognition from Swim Canada.

The 2002 born Richmond Rapids standout has been named to the 2018 Swimming Canada ID Team for the second time in her promising career. She qualified based on her results and times at national level long course competitions during a two month window in March and April.

The selection is a part of an initiative to develop the next generation of the Canadian international swimmers. 

As a part of the ID Team, McCallum has been recognized as a significant up-and-coming swimming talent with skills to compete at the senior international level.

The Swim Canada National Team Development Program features male and female athletes ranging from 13-to-16 years of age.
