Defending RASA Spring League First Division regular season champion Delta Blaze is in familiar territory but there is plenty of company behind them.
The Blaze sit atop of the standings in the Richmond Adult Soccer Association’s “second season” with an unbeaten 2-0-01 record heading into Thursday night’s home match with Westside who sit just one point back at 2-2-0. Also on the Blaze’s heels are the Rino’s Tigers at 2-1-0 as they get set to take on United Nations (1-2-1) who are also within striking distance along with Rhino’s Originals and Binger’s Army, both with 1-2-1 records.
There is more separation in the RASA’s Spring League Second Division thanks to hot starts for Bombastic FC and Metropolitan FC.
Bombastic (4-0-1) is the lone unbeaten entry in the seven-team circuit after playing to a 1-1 draw with the Vancouver Greencaps (2-2-1) on Tuesday night. Metropolitan (4-1-0)have crept within a point after its 9-0 romp over VanSal F.C.
The Richmond All-Blacks loom after they pulled even with the Vancouver Strikers for third place (3-2-0) after a 5-3 victory on Tuesday at Richmond High. Richmond FC also gained ground after outlasting the South Delta Royals 5-3.
