Photos: Richmond Olympic Park Run's 7th spooky birthday

The free, weekly 5K run takes places along the Middle Arm Trail every Saturday.

Around 75 runners, joggers and walkers of all sports levels turned out for the Richmond Olympic Park Run's seventh birthday and Halloween run on Saturday morning.

The majority of participants were dressed in Halloween sporting costumes from a soccer ball to witches while taking part in the free, weekly 5K run along the Middle Arm Trail.

The run is organized by volunteers and can be as serious as timing yourself against the parkrun clock, a brisk jog, strolling with your pet or walking at your own pace.

Participants are asked to arrive at 8:45 a.m. for a briefing and warm up and be ready for a 9 a.m. start.
